What Ofsted Highlighted
A Broad and Motivating Curriculum
Ofsted praised our broad curriculum and range of motivating play experiences that help children build important life skills. Activities such as pouring water during play translate into real-life confidence during mealtimes and daily routines.
Strong Relationships and Personalised Care
The report highlights our well-established key-person system, which enables staff to provide responsive, individualised support. Staff follow home routines for our youngest children and provide plenty of reassurance and affection, helping them to feel safe and settled.
Focus on Language and Communication
Inspectors noted the strong focus on language across the nursery. Staff introduce new vocabulary, ask questions, and model language throughout the day. Children of all ages engage confidently in group discussions and storytelling, making strong progress in communication and language development.
Encouraging Independence and Confidence
Children are given opportunities to explore independently and take manageable risks, which builds their physical skills and confidence. From navigating slides to managing personal hygiene, children are supported to develop independence that prepares them well for school.
Promoting Healthy Habits
Staff consistently encourage healthy habits through conversation and daily routines. Children learn about nutrition, hygiene, and how to care for their bodies. They are supported to feed themselves, wash their hands, and use the toilet independently.
Positive Parent Partnerships
Parents shared highly positive feedback during the inspection. They spoke of the strong communication they receive and how supported they feel in areas such as weaning and toilet training. This collaborative approach ensures consistency between home and nursery.
